Josh Anderson really good in first game with HabsJanuary 13, 2021 | 06:58 PM

Josh Anderson scored a pair of goals in Wednesday's 5-4 OT loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Analysis: Anderson hadn't played in more than a year because of a shoulder injury, but he didn't look rusty at all in his first game with the Canadiens. The 26-year-old gave Montreal a 2-1 lead late in the first period and he put them ahead 4-3 early in the third frame. On that second tally, Anderson showed off an impressive burst of speed up the left side and he put his head down and went to the net before scoring. Not only was he a factor offensively, he also threw his weight around quite a bit in this one. He finished the night with a plus-1 rating, two penalty minutes, seven shots on goal and three hits in 16:40 of ice time. Anderson and linemates Nick Suzuki (goal) and Jonathan Drouin (two assists) seem to have strong chemistry already.
