It's not clear exactly how long Vatanen will need to recover, but teammate Hampus Lindholm is expected to need four-to-five months to rehab from his upcoming shoulder surgery and the Ducks revealed that Vatanen will take "even longer" for his recovery. In other words, don't expect Vatanen to be ready for the start of the 2017-18 campaign. He had three goals and 24 points in 71 contests.
