Semyon Varlamov stops 36 shots in double OT winSeptember 15, 2020 | 09:16 PM

Semyon Varlamov stopped 36 of 37 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 double overtime win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Analysis: Varlamov's teammates tried to play as stingy as they could, but they still allowed the Bolts to generate some good scoring opportunities. The Isles goalie also got some good fortune in double OT, as Nikita Kucherov hit the side of the post as he was falling to the ice. Thankfully for the Isles, they got a goal from Jordan Eberle in the second overtime period (that was just their 24th shot of the game). Varlamov now has an 11-6 record in this postseason. His team still find themselves down 3-2 heading into Game 6 on Thursday night.
