"I've never really made the team until I'm on the team. When I'm there, I still have to stay there, you know?" It is good to hear that he isn't taking anything for granted, but Knight is expected to be on the Florida roster going into the 2021-22 season. He should see his fair share of starts behind Sergei Bobrovsky, who has struggled since joining the Panthers. Meanwhile, Knight was impressive in four regular-season outings and two playoff appearances at the NHL level in 2020-21.
