Trevor Zegras pointless in NHL debutFebruary 23, 2021 | 05:47 AM
Trevor Zegras was held pointless in his NHL debut Monday.
Analysis: The much-anticipated debut of the Ducks first pick and ninth overall in 2019, went okay as he came close to tying the game up late. "I was just kind of hanging around the net and the puck squirted right through the defenseman's legs," Zegras said. "I'd like to have that one back. Down by one with two minutes left, that's got to be in the back of the net. I saw the goalie pushing out. I tired to elevate it (the shot). He made a great save." Coach Dallas Eakins was pleased with his game as he exhibited outstanding passing skills and had a couple of shots on goal. "I thought he was good," Eakins said. "He made some good plays on our power play. He had an excellent chance to tie it near the end. The second period was tough on him with all the stops and starts, but overall I thought it was a good game for him."
